Announcement
If you have been to the office, you may have noticed the new sign over the door. We have changed the name of the practice to Burney & Associates, Certified Public Accountants.

This change is effective on February 1, 2007. My son, David Burney CPA, has purchased my practice and will be the new proprietor. I will continue to work here through 2007 and most of 2008. Also, my husband, Barry Burney CPA, whom many of you know, will continue assisting us on a part-time basis in the coming years.

David has worked with me during tax season and at various other times for the last 15 years. He has worked on clients’ tax returns, updated computer systems, and performed some of the functions of the monthly accounting we provide to clients. David has been a CPA since 1993 and his previous job as an internal control consultant for a major international corporation required him to travel about 80% of the time for the past 4.5 years.

We have thought many times that his taking over my practice when I was ready to “almost” retire would be a good thing for me and for you, my clients. We look forward to continuing to work with you in the coming years.
